Pine Mountain Good as Gold Dogs Training Classes
PUPPY PARTY CLASS
This class is dedicated to giving your puppy a head start to a fun and fulfilling relationship with you and your family. You will establish a special bond with your puppy by learning to teach him or her using positive reinforcement methods and how to prevent those annoying unwanted behaviors. Puppy Party includes working on sit, down, walking on leash, coming when called and general puppy socialization with other people and puppies. We will offer tips on grooming, housetraining, and nutrition.
Course length: 6 weeks Puppy Age: 10 weeks to 4 months Prerequisites: 2 sets of Vaccinations

CANINE MANNERS FOR JUVENILES
This class is for the young dog that is not quite the adult but not a puppy any longer. These pets tend to want to spread their wings and no longer are the cute attentive pet you began with. We will build upon the basic puppy class above but add some agility fun with basic jumping and contact work. This age group needs more attention and socialization than ever. We will be introducing the dogs to new challenges each lesson. We will continue the sit and down work, with more duration involved, and we will concentrate on leash work without pulling.
Course length: 6 weeks Age: 5 months and up Prerequisites: Required Vaccinations

CANINE MANNERS CLASS
This class is geared toward making you and your companion a team. Learning to heel on leash, sit and down for more than a minute and to stay in place while you walk away are just a few of the commands we will work on. We will also build upon the basics learned in Juvenile Manners Class This class will prepare you and your dog to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.
Course length: 6 weeks Age: 1 year + Prerequisites: Required Vaccinations


COMPETITIVE OBEDIENCE
This class is geared toward achieving AKC Companion Dog (CD) and Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) titles. Learning to heel on leash, sit and down for more than a minute and to stay in place while you walk away are just a few of the commands we will work on. We will also build upon the basics learned in Juvenile Manners Class This class will also prepare you and your dog to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.
Course length: 6 weeks Age: 1year + Prerequisites: Required Vaccinations


RALLY-O CLASS
Rally-O or Rally Obedience is the latest AKC Event. A new titling class that has some aspects of dog agility and traditional obedience combined into a new fun sport. Rally consists of a series of stations, run as a heel-work course by a handler and dog, where a sign at each station indicates an obedience exercise which the team must perform.
Course length: 6 weeks Age: 6 months Prerequisites: Canine Good Citizen Certificate or Manners Class


BEGINNING AGILITYY
Jump, Tunnel, Walk-It. These are just a few of the terms you and your dog will learn in our basic Beginning Agility class. Just like on Animal Planet, learn to have loads of fun with your dog on an agility obstacle course. Trained in a positive manner with safety in mind, you and your dog can go to new heights and become a working team. This class is worked on and off the leash.
Course length: 6 weeks Age: 1 year Prerequisite: Completion of Manners Class


BEGINNING AGILITY COMPETITIVE INTERMEDIATE AGILITY
This class builds on the Beginning Agility classes and is for owners and their dogs that want to actively compete in AKC, USDAA or NADAC Agility Trials. You and your dog will begin to run obstacles together in a sequence and start to learn how to run with your dog on a Novice Agility course. This class requires off leash work. We will also be working on basic groundwork and contact work. This class will be geared toward basic relationship building blocks so that you and your dog can become a team to earn titles and win ribbons.
Course length: 6 weeks Age: 1 year PrerPrerequisite: Begin Agility + Instructors Blessing


ADVANCED/ COMPETITIVE AGILITY
After the completion of Intermediate Agility you will begin to work on your handling skills as well as running standard and jumpers courses. These courses will be set up as if you were at a trial and actually competing. We will also be working on some Clean-Run backyard exercises to improve your team skills as a handler and dog...

OPEN FORMAT
This time will be spent in various training venues. We will work Rally, Agility, Obedience, Clicker work at various levels. I will have different trainers volunteer evenings at there discretion and they will decide the class course for the evening. Tuesday will also be know as free time on some weeks and you can come and train your dog on your own or practice as you want. We will also have a run through evening on some Tuesdays prior to trials –just let us know. I will post the various Tuesday classes on the web site each week on Sunday evening.
